The current CILIP Gazette contains the following advert for posts based in Information Services (Research & Learning Resources Division) at the University of Nottingham:
Senior Library Assistants (Three posts - two full-time & one part-time)
£17,454 - £20,842 per annum (pro rata for part-time)
Salary can progress to £24,886 per annum (pro rata for part-time), subject to performance
Applications are invited for the above posts based in the Hallward Library. The successful candidates will work as part of the Arts subject team, providing information services and resources to support the Faculty of Arts.
Good organisational and interpersonal skills are essential, together with the ability to use a range of printed and electronic resources. Candidates should have a degree (or equivalent), preferably in a relevant subject discipline, and be a qualified librarian with some experience in an academic or special library. A working knowledge of modern languages and/or music will be an advantage. Some evening involvement in the Lending Services rota will be required.
Posts 1 & 2 (full-time) - Hours of work are 36¼ per week, Monday to Friday inclusive. These posts are open to job share. Please quote ref. JLM/126.
Post 3 (part-time) - Hours of work are 18 per week, based over 2½ days per week, pattern to be negotiated. Please quote ref. JLM/127.
