Have you thought of becoming a mentor? Are you hoping to register for Certification/Chartership status as part of the new CILIP Framework of qualifications? Then please read this message further.

You will be welcome to come along to a meeting to be held at the University of Derby, Kedleston Road Campus on Tuesday 17th May.

Information about the Presenters.

Kath Owen is Principal Librarian, West Nottinghamshire with strategic 
responsibility for staff learning and development. Kath is also a member of 
the Chartership Board and serves on the East Midlands Branch EMBOC.
 
Jaci Brumwell is Deputy Director of Derbyshire County Council's Cultural and Community Services Dept and Head of Libraries and Heritage Division. 
Jaci acted as a mentor on the County Council's corporate mentoring scheme run by IDEA in 2004/5 and is currently mentoring a senior personnel officer from another Dept.

Marianne Cusworth is the Quality and Performance Manager for Hertfordshire Community Information (CI) which provides a number of specific public services, including Libraries, Trading Standards and Hertfordshire Archives and Local Studies (HALS). 
Marianne will talk about the procedures involved in setting up one of the two pilot schemes for mentoring within Hertfordshire.
