Estyn Allan – Branching Out in Wales invite you to a National Conference on
27 April 2005 at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff. The event takes
place from 11am - 3pm.
A day comprising short, high impact presentations from every library
authority in Wales demonstrating the innovative ways that libraries are
promoting reading.
The presentations will show the impact that a customer centred approach has
had on issues, and will highlight examples of the different ways that reader
centred initiatives have broadened the reach of libraries.
The conference will be addressed at lunchtime by Alun Pugh AM, Minister for
Culture, Welsh Language and Sport and the keynote speakers will be Rachel
Van Riel, Opening the Book, Peter Tyndall, Arts Council of Wales and Gwerfyl
Pierce Jones, Welsh Books Council.
