There are a few places remaining for this one day event sponsored by CURL
and organised jointly by a number of area studies library groups (for
Italian, French, German, Latin American and Iberian Studies, and Slavonic
and East European Studies), to be held at the British Library next Monday,
11th April. All library staff with an interest in collaborative collection
management are very welcome to attend. The programme will include a
presentation of the CURL-CoFoR toolkit for collaborative collection
management, now available for comment at www.cocorees.ac.uk, and the launch
of Wesline (the West European Studies Library and Information Network). The
day will be opened by Jan Wilkinson, Head of Higher Education at the British
Library, who will speak on "Collaborative Collection Management: future
prospects". For further details of the programme see
http://www.lib.gla.ac.uk/COSEELIS/conference.html.
Attendance is free of charge, but registration in advance is essential. If
you would like to attend please email Paul Kelly at the British Library
([log in to unmask]) by lunchtime on Wednesday 6th April.
