Dear Lis-linkers
I thought I should put a quick summary of my findings, I asked about science e-resources for FE (sorry it's taken me so long, you know what with Christmas etc.).
Quite a range of resources were used including:
Subscription databases:
General Science Collection (Ebsco-free trial available)
Science full text select (Wilson-free trial available)
ExamsTutor (covers AS/A2 physics, biology and chemistry - free trial available)
Gale virtual reference library (contains some science encyclopaedias £65 pa)
exam.net - a biology resource, some of which is free full access requires a subscription
Channel 4 GCSEase covering GCSE applied science double award syllabus http://www.channel4.com/learning/microsites/G/gcsease/free_areas/science/index.html
Free gateways
gesource (for geog. & env.) www.gesource.ac.uk
PSIgate (for physical sciences) www.psigate.ac.uk
General information is available via the JISC resource guide (www.jisc.ac.uk/resourceguides)
Thanks to everyone who replied to me and apologies once again for the delay!
