According to the Work Foundation, flexible working in its many forms can be of
considerable benefit to both organisations and individuals. However, there are unique
challenges for those who manage teams that include part-time and contract staff and
alternative approaches to management, communication and motivation can be
invaluable.

This practical one-day workshop will explore the particular challenges posed by the
employment of part-time and contract staff. It will look at the different options for
flexible work, managing and motivating part-time and contract staff, balancing the
needs of staff and service and dealing with specific and sensitive issues.
