COMET 2, a HEFCE-funded Good Management Practice project is hosting its
final one-day conference at Edge Hill, Ormskirk, Lancashire.
The target audience will be HE and FE academics, technologists, librarians
and support staff with an interest in online learning and the use of
technology
in teaching and learning.
The conference will feature two keynote presentations and a number of
parallel sessions and workshops demonstrating how ICT developments are
becoming embedded in teaching and learning. There will also be
presentations from all the projects supported by COMET 2
Keynotes
· developing strategies for embedding e-learning within institutions
· designing a program to support staff who are teaching online
Parallel sessions and workshops will include;
· developing students’ information literacy skills
· online staff development
· collaborative working between academic and support staff
· developing cohort identity for students using online learning
· the use of video and audio streaming in e-learning
· promoting interactivity in learning
