c) Expression of Interest - En-Power
d) News about Global Views and Voices

a) New Director of Eduserv Chest
---------------------------------

Eduserv is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Walker as Director of Eduserv Chest. Peter has 16 years publishing experience prior to taking a career break to study full time for an MBA. Graduating with distinction from the University of Bath in December 2002, Peter set up and ran his own business to deliver strategy-led projects prior to joining Eduserv. He is married with two boys.

b) Key Note Market Info for FE
------------------------------

Eduserv Chest is pleased to announce that an agreement for Key Note Market Information is now available.

This is an Agreement open only to FE Sites.

Key Note Market Information offers 140 individual reports covering several market sectors. They are valuable aids of use in particular in the fields of Marketing, Business, Accountancy, Tourism and Leisure and Finance.

Three licensing options are offered with prices ranging from £180 for 5 reports (hard copies and online access for a year) to £800 for full online access to all 140 reports.

Full details can be viewed at <http://www.eduserv.org.uk/chest/datasets/keynote/>

c) Expression of Interest - En-Power
------------------------------------

Chest have recently been approached by Einstein Network regarding their online resource En-Power, this will be of particular interest to a wide range of departments so please distribute as widely as possible to all departments with an interest in Accountancy, Business, Law, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Planning and Surveying.

The En-Power Portal gives access to video based training programmes across 7 Channels, with each programme offering a study guide, the actual video (viewed as a TV style programme on a PC streamed from the internet or a local server). Each programme also features extensive study notes, full transcript, an interactive quiz that can be used to test understanding and access to a dedicated discussion forum.

Einstein adds over 200 programmes a year to the portal as well as maintaining the extensive archive of notes and video presentations.

A fully automatic diary keeps track of all the interactions that people make with the system, logging programmes viewed, quiz score and even document searches. A powerful search tool allows all of the study notes and transcripts to be searched, thus avoiding all of the 'noise' and outdated documents that are so often found on internet based search engines.

The following gives examples of areas covered within each Channel, for full details please visit: <http://www.einstein-network.com/channels/channels.htm>
