Archivist in Charge
Academic-related Grade 2: £23,182 - £30,002 p.a.
We are looking for an experienced Archivist to take on the care of the
Conservative Party Archive housed in the Bodleian Library, Oxford. You will
be entitled to all the benefits of working for the Oxford University Library

training and staff development opportunities. You should be a good honours
graduate with archival qualifications, experience of electronic cataloguing
of manuscripts, of modern records management (both paper and electronic) and
of mounting information on web pages, and ideally with an interest in
20th-century politics and political history. You should have the ability to
work independently and as part of a team and your interpersonal skills will
allow you to liaise with Conservative Campaign Headquarters, academic
researchers and colleagues. Knowledge of ISAD(G), EAD, NCA rules for
indexing, and mounting information on web pages will be advantageous. The
appointment will be open-ended.
