Dear all
CLIC - Cardiff Libraries in Cooperation - is a new development which aims to bring the different library providers in Cardiff closer together. It currently involves partners from further and higher education, public libraries, museums, corporate and media bodies, government libraries, museums, corporate and media libraries. We are working towards creating a strategic approach to the development of the scheme and are gathering information and opinion from various sectors of the Cardiff community as well as people involved in collaborative schemes elsewhere.
A staff development event is being planned for all those interested or potentially involved in CLIC. It runs from 9.00 am - 1.00 pm on Thursday 8th December 2005. It will provide delegates with a chance to hear about the experiences of people involved in other Welsh schemes - NEWLIS (in Newport) and ATLIS (in Swansea), and, importantly, will provide delegates with the opportunity to help shape the future of CLIC through informal discussion.
The event will be held in the Glamorgan Committee Rooms at Cardiff University and is FREE to attend. We hope that as many people from as many different libraries in Cardiff will come to what will hopefully prove to be a pivotal occasion in the history of CLIC.
If you wish to attend the event please contact Claire Dutfield, UWIC library administrator email: [log in to unmask] before 1st December. Numbers are limited so please register your interest without delay!
