LIS-LINK subscribers may like to know that the online Royal Historical
Society Bibliography of British and Irish History (
http://www.rhs.ac.uk/bibl ) is now using a lookup of the EDINA registry of
OpenURL resolvers at UK Higher Education Institutions. This means that, if
a resolver is registered with EDINA for the user's IP address, users of the
bibliography should see, for records in our detailed results display which
include an ISBN or ISSN, a link to their local OpenURL resolver, so that
they can obtain information about resources in their local libraries, or
online resources to which their institution has subscribed, relating to the
record.
If a resolver has been identified by the bibliography, the URL of a
bibliography results page will include the string "&SUCCESS=true" followed
by the base URL of the resolver, the URL of any resolver button that has
been registered with EDINA, and any alt text associated with the resolver
button that has been registered with EDINA.
We understand that WebBridge resolvers will require the registration of the
bibliography's service identifier before they will function with the
bibliography. This service identifier is "rhs.ac.uk:bibliography".
If you believe that the bibliography is not functioning correctly in
conjunction with your resolver, or if you have any other queries, you can
contact the bibliography at [log in to unmask] . Please note, though, that
any enquiries about the EDINA registry should be sent direct to EDINA
([log in to unmask]).
