How clean are your books?
The National Preservation Office announces a repeat of its new course on cleaning library and archive collections.
Surface dirt on library and archive materials is unsightly, unhealthy and provides nourishment for pests. It is a general indication of poor standards of collection care. This a training day will demonstrate how dirt damages collections and how it can be tackled using a variety of methods. Speakers include Professor Peter Brimblecombe, University of East Anglia, Stuart Welch, Conservation-by-Design and Caroline Bendix, an independent conservator.
