Joint CoFHE Mid-West Circle and UC&R BBO Section Autumn Event, with support from Sue Hill Recruitment

* Do you just want to learn something new and broaden your horizons?
Then this event will supply you with some ideas of how you could set about making a change. The day will focus on a range of options that could make a difference to your career.
St. Hilda's College has a beautiful location on the River Cherwell, just a few minutes walk from the city centre, and the event includes a 2-course lunch in the college.

Speakers
Job exchanges: Julie Robinson, International Officer, CILIP & Sue Pemberton, International Development Subject Consultant, Social Sciences Library, University of Oxford. Julie will talk about LIBEX - CILIP International Office's job exchange scheme (www.cilip.org.uk/libex) and Sue will give her personal experience of a job exchange and offer tips for planning one of your own.
Job shadowing: Sue Roberts, Head of Learning Services, Edge Hill College & Lisa Bruce, Site Library Manager, St Martin's College. Sue & Lisa have written of their experience of job shadowing from both sides of the equation. They will talk about their experiences and lead a discussion on this topic.
Institutional mentoring schemes: Claire Jeffery, Head of Learning Resources (Harcourt Hill and Wheatley), Oxford Brookes University. Claire is a mentor in the Oxford Brookes mentor network, and she will give us her personal view of mentoring.
