SPECIAL COLLECTIONS ADMINISTRATOR
SENATE HOUSE LIBRARY
(Secondment Opportunity)
£18,205 – £22,360 p.a. inc. LW (pay award pending)
We are seeking an accurate administrator to manage the day-to-day services
and operations of the Special Collections section.
You will co-ordinate the running of the Special Collections Reading Room
and manage daily fetching and shelving of materials. You will assist with
enquiry services and maintain records of collections in use.
You should possess a relevant postgraduate qualification, and experience
of working in an academic library. A working knowledge of a European
language and an interest in rare books, palaeography or manuscripts is
essential.
The post is offered as a secondment to provide maternity leave cover and
is available from October 2005 (or as soon as possible thereafter) for a
period of up to 12 months initially.
