ALPSP SEMINAR
MAKING YOUR CONTENT PAY: TAILORING YOUR BUSINESS STRATEGIES TO NEW MARKETS
London, Friday 18 November 2005
http://www.alpsp.org/events/2005/MCP/default.htm
The challenge for publishers is to identify new market opportunities, and to develop business strategies and pricing models in practical and cost-effective ways. The speakers will review the range of current pricing models and their impact on both publishers and libraries. They will also present and discuss opportunities to extend market reach and revenue. Key issues such as slicing and dicing, content syndication, linking, reprints and the use of backfiles will be covered, as well as sponsorship opportunities and how to harness intermediaries to best effect.
Who should attend:
This seminar will be of interest to senior editorial and publishing personnel who are considering ways of exploiting existing and new content; and also marketing and product managers responsible for the strategic development of their business.
