SUPERVISORY SKILLS

Designed for those who are new to supervising others, this workshop will develop participants' ability to undertake responsibility for supervising colleagues.
BY THE END OF THE EVENT PARTICIPANTS WILL HAVE:
* explored their purpose in being a supervisor
* discovered how to build a motivating environment
* looked at setting goals and allocating work
* identified ways of briefing staff and keeping them informed
* looked at how to give and receive praise and criticism
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Those who supervise staff as part of their role, or new senior library assistants who would like to clarify their role and build on their supervision skills.
(Please note: This workshop is for beginners, and is not intended for experienced line managers.)
