Dear all,
Here at the RNCM we have a small open access short loan collection.
Students are able to book items via our LMS and can take them out any
time after 4 p.m. We have always had the issue of non-collection of
items and have recently introduced a policy whereby items not collected
after 6 can be taken out by another user. Naturally if the item has not
been collected by the time we close it goes back on the shelf.
I'm really interested to know how other libraries deal with
non-collection of items, and whether any limits are placed on the times
that booked items become 'available' again.
Any comments greatfully received!
Many thanks
