British Universities Film & Video Council Open Day - Friday 16th December
2005
The British Universities Film and Video Council will be delighted to welcome
you to its annual Open Day on Friday 16th December 2005 to meet staff and to
discuss the Councilıs current services and research activities. Take this
opportunity, as a member, to air your views on current activities, or as a
non-member, check out the variety of benefits available if your institution
joined.
The Open Day will be hosted at the BUFVCıs offices at 77 Wells Street, just
off Oxford Street in Central London (nearest tube station Oxford Circus)
and the doors will open at 11.30am. Visitors will be given an overview of
new and exciting BUFVC projects and the launch of new publications. There
will be a sandwich lunch for all attending*. The day will be rounded up
with an informal discussion prior to a formal AGM followed by free mince
pies and wine.

TRILT Television and radio Index for Learning and Teaching - now with over
5million records - the unique information source for all television and
radio listings information in UK
NfO Newsfilm Online encoding some 3,000 hours of ITN and Reuters newsfilm
from more than 5 decade
TVTip Bournemouth Universityıs TVTimes database - access to around 250,000
listings records from the London edition of the TVTimes from 1955 1985
RGO Researcherıs Guide Online - information on more than 600 UK collections
of film, television, radio and related documentation
BUFVC Research - Cine Magazines and the Projection of Britain, research for
Newsfilm Online and the development of a comprehensive new international
research database for Shakespeare in performance on film, television and
radio
