Aimhigher West Midlands Workshop for Libraries and Information Services
Aimhigher would like to invite colleagues in the West Midlands to attend
a free workshop on 21st April from 9am-1pm at Wolverhampton Science
Park.
The workshop aims to cover the following issues
* to create a better understanding of the roles of Libraries and
Information Services and Aimhigher in the West Midlands
* to explore the creation of partnerships with library and
information services around a common goal of widening participation in
Higher Education
* to look at developing joint projects in each of the 6 West
Midlands LSC areas, for which Aimhigher will commit some start-up
funding.
Aimhigher West Midlands is part of a national initiative to increase and
widen participation in HE for underrepresented groups. They are funded
by HEFCE and the DfES and work with learners in schools and colleges, in
the workplace and in communities across all 6 LSC areas in the region
(Birmingham and Solihull; Black Country; Coventry and Warwickshire;
Herefordshire and Worcestershire; Shropshire; Staffordshire).
If you are interested in attending this event, please contact Jo
Harrington at Aimhigher for further details and a booking form as soon
as possible by email ([log in to unmask]) or by fax: (01902 824438).
Best wishes
