In order to measure the impact of services it is essential to be able to put together effective questionnaires and surveys. Similarly to carry out effective market research you will need to be able to construct surveys and questionnaires that are going to give you meaningful data which can be turned into useful information to inform policy and decision-making. Or are you researching the impact of a new service on your clients or customers? If so you will need to have learned how to do primary research.
By the end of the event participants will have:
· looked at different methods of conducting primary research
· formulated clear research aims and objectives based on workplace projects
· written a questionnaire or prepared a structured interview
· looked at methods for collating results
· structured a research report

Anybody in an information role who is required to undertake detailed research work in the form of surveys or interviews
