Dear all,
SOSIG is running a weeklong virtual event as part of the
ESRC Social Science Week (June 20th - 24th 2005).
(A paper by David Dolowitz offers a lecturer's perspective on information
literacy which people on this list may like to respond to ...)
We have invited a number of social science specialists to consider
how the Internet is changing the face of social science
information and research, in particular how it has altered
their own working practices and the impact this may have had
on their research and teaching.
A web log (blog) will be running throughout the week providing access to a
number of short articles, these will be made available under
the following topics:
Monday 20th June - Learning and Teaching
Tuesday 21st June - Research Methods
Wednesday 22nd June - Access to Data
Thursday 23rd June - e Social Science
Friday 24th June - Round Up
We would like to invite you to contribute to this virtual event
by adding your own experiences and reflections on what
changes the Internet has brought to your learning, teaching
and research
Papers are available from TODAY: Monday 20th June, from:
