Dear Education Librarians Group members,
We have heard from Librarians at the House of Commons Library - please see the message below. If you would like to go on this visit can you please reply to me [log in to unmask] asap - by the end of Monday 10th January at the latest - and you will need to send me a refundable deposit cheque of £4 payable to the House of Commons Library - this will be sent back after the event but is so that they reduce the number of "no-shows" of people who book and then don't turn up.
Thanks
Judy
"Thank you for your previous enquiry concerning a visit to the House of
Commons Library.
We should like to invite you to an Open Day at the Library on
Wednesday 16th February 2005, from 10.15 - 16.30.
Details will be finalised shortly, but it is anticipated that the day
will include talks by Library staff on the various aspects of the
Library's services, lunch, and a tour of the Library reading rooms and
other facilities.
Please could you reply by Friday 7th January confirming whether you are
still interested in the Open Day and giving the number from your
organisation who would like to attend. I should mention that, for
reasons of security we have to impose a limit on numbers, and may not
therefore be able to accommodate all those who may wish to come. Please
copy your reply to my job share partner Gill Cooper ([log in to unmask]).
I shall send out further details of the programme in the New Year, when
I shall also be asking you for confirmation of names, together with a
refundable deposit of approximately £4 per head.
We look forward to meeting you and your colleagues on the day."
