Course Overview
The Managing Editor is at the centre of activity for his or her
journal(s) and gains a broad overview of the issues affecting it, both
within publishing as a whole and for the author community that it
serves. This course will introduce the common issues encountered in the
role and enable delegates to build on their skills to be more effective
in meeting the challenges of journal publishing. The emphasis is on
practical advice and guidance, and participants will be able to apply
and integrate ideas and suggestions to help improve their own journals.

An ideal next step after the Introduction to the Editorial Office
course, this is an intermediate course for those who would like to
become, or who have recently become, a Managing Editor (or equivalent).
