This course will help anyone involved in the purchasing of journals
production – either pre-press or manufacturing - including Production
Directors, Production Managers, Production Editors and Editorial
Managers. It will provide delegates with an overview of current trends
in domestic and offshore outsourcing. They will gain an understanding of
the benefits of outsourcing, and awareness of common pitfalls.
Delegates will be enabled to identify which work might be outsourced and
helped to understand how to define their requirements clearly. They will
also come away with practical tips for managing the outsourced supplier.
