I have been asked by ScholarOne Inc to help recruit a European Sales
Manager for its rapidly growing business serving journal publishers.
ScholarOne is a market leader in scholarly journal publishing systems
for online submission, peer-review and process control. Its client base
includes some of the most prestigious names in scholarly publishing,
ranging from large publishers such as Blackwell and Wiley to small and
medium-sized publishers including many learned societies and publishers
such as American Academy of Pediatrics, Canadian Medical Association,
Mary Ann Liebert and Georg Thieme Verlag. Its headquarters is in
Charlottesville, Virginia.
We are looking for a self-starting individual, based in the UK, to build
on its existing client base in Europe:
* creating new accounts within the vibrant European scholarly
publishing community, and
* managing and expanding existing accounts to establish an
effective relationship with each client and ensure satisfaction with
ScholarOne’s products and services.
You will be educated to degree level and have a minimum of 2-3 years’
experience in sales and client management and be fully conversant with
Internet technology. Some knowledge of or experience in the academic
and scholarly publishing industry is desirable.
This is an exciting opportunity with a rapidly growing company. The
package will start at £35-40K plus commission. Please apply in the
