I can endorse everything that Eric has just said! EZProxy has been a
fantastic asset to the Open University. I would also add into the mix
the percentage of time saved by library student support staff in
answering password-related enquiries.

This is an easy one.
If
(money spent on e-services) X (fraction of users off-site) X
(fraction of resources that are not served by existing off-campus
authentication, or poorly served thereby) > $1000
then EZProxy is a clear win.
(Somehow the calculation should include an amazement factor for the
excellence of Chris Zagar's service, but I digress).
