Hi Emma
Here at Royal Holloway, we use SFX which is developed by Ex-Libris. We have
been using SFX for approx 4 years, the set up was straight forward and we
have access to the knowledge base which is updated monthly in order to
activate targets etc. Over the last few years the product has evolved
providing greater functionality, this year they are also introducing subject
categories to the journals, allowing us to provide both A-Z listing and
subject listings.
SFX allows us to provide easy access to our e-journals and eases the burden
of keeping up to date with holdings changes, it however does not provide the
solution to manage our e-collections. I still have to spend time activating
our subs with suppliers, checking budgets etc. Although Ex-Libris are
releasing an accompanying product called Verde which will hopefully will
tackle these issues.
SFX has been a welcome addition to the services we provide and is very well
received by our users. Please feel free to contact me if you would like any
more information
Thanks
Damyanti

Subject: Open Urls
Hello
I am hoping for some help. At present I am investigating what Open URL
linkers are available, and as there is so many I was wondering what people
are using and if you have any comments on the systems
Thanks
Emma Burns
