I've looked at the GridFTP log for the last year on our previous CE,
and the result was (format: FILENAME FREQUENCY): for october 2004 till now:
FILE=/bin/ls 592
FILE=/etc/hosts 2
FILE=/etc/passwd 42
FILE=/etc/redhat-release 1
FILE=/home/dteam037/.gw/lopezfm/remote/* ~80
FILE=/home/dteam037/.gw/mauro/remote/* ~100
FILE=/home/eo003/TEST 2
FILE=/home/eo003/cert.tgz 1
FILE=/home/eo003/dutchspace_test 1
FILE=/home/lhcb002/lhcb_test.sh 38
FILE=/opt/edg/var/info/atlas/atlas.list 14
FILE=/opt/edg/var/info/cms/cms.ldif 3
FILE=/opt/edg/var/info/cms/cms.list 12
FILE=/tmp/dhs-qsub 1
FILE=/tmp/t.sh 6
FILE=/tmp/tdhs-in.txt 1
FILE=/tmp/testfile.10010.* ~560
FILE=/usr/bin/qstat 1
FILE=/usr/bin/qsub 2
FILE=/var/log/globus-gatekeeper.log 1
So they are all test jobs or people retrieving /etc/passwd of all things!
(luckily ours is quite empty :-)
