Since we all depend on Torque to such a high level, they have reached

Greetings,
After over a thousand enhancements and countless community
contributions, TORQUE 2.0 is ready to be released. It has proven itself
to be an effective and stable platform for thousands of clusters
worldwide. Because it is free, we don't know how many sites out there
are running it but we do know there have been approximately 60,000
downloads in the last 6 months from our site alone! TORQUE is running
sites with 10's of thousands of jobs and sites with nearly 10,000
processors. It it involved in many of the world's largest grids and
most advanced clustering projects, and we've been told that it runs more
of the 'Top 500' clusters than any other batch system out there! For a
free, truly open community project, this is exceptional!
Congratulations to everybody for making this successful. We know we
are not done. We are still working on usability, self-diagnostics,
reliability, and scalability. TORQUE will continue to become more
intuitive and easier to use through our efforts and the efforts of the
many, many contributing sites. Thanks for making this work!
Dave
