Hello,
trying to set up a test CE with LCG_2_6, I see that the process
'lcg-mon-gridftp' is using up 25% of CPU, executing a thousand times the
commands 'hostname' and 'sh', as I can see from lastcomm, and it reports
every few seconds entries like:
2005-08-02 16:51:20,324: [ERROR] Unknown host: 128.142.64.65
2005-08-02 16:51:21,094: [ERROR] Unknown host: 128.142.64.62
2005-08-02 16:51:21,176: [ERROR] Unknown host: 128.142.64.62
2005-08-02 16:51:24,306: [ERROR] Unknown host: 128.142.64.66
2005-08-02 16:51:24,476: [ERROR] Unknown host: 128.142.64.67
into /opt/lcg/var/lcg-mon-gridftp.log. These hosts do not exist in DNS
and they are not pingable, although from the IP range, they originate
from CERN. Can somebody tell me if this is due to some misconfiguration
on our side, or a 'feature' in this new piece of software.
Thanks, Thorsten
