The "file" protocol (i.e. NFS mounts) makes the SE a whole lot less manageable:
the SRM will have a hard time figuring out who might still be reading a file
that it wants to move to a different disk; if we allow write access, the SRM
will lose control over the space allocation.
You cannot have your cake and eat it too.
