Ideally, by summer we would find the gLite job submission system to be at least
as usable as what we currently have in LCG-2, such that we can start phasing out
the Globus job submission. In practice we may have to support the old system
for quite a bit longer, e.g. because sites want to use the same CEs for projects
that cannot switch yet.
LCG will deploy those gLite components that have proven themselves, we will not
just switch to gLite in its entirety, and we will retain LCG-2 components that
still have significant use cases.
