...depending on what geant mappings you have in your grid-mapfile,
that is, in /opt/edg/etc/edg-mkgridmap.conf.
At CERN we map DNs to ".geant" and "geantsgm" as Patricia noted;
this avoids accounts whose names are longer than 8 characters.
We intended to codify that in the YAIM for LCG-2_7_0...
