Hello,
I notice that LCG-2_6_0 now contains the Globus RLS client:
vdt_globus_rls_client-VDT1.2.2rh9-1.i386.rpm
The Globus homepage says "The Replica Location Service was co-developed by
the Globus team and Work Package 2 of the DataGrid project."
How is the above rpm related to the WP2 rpms which get also distributed
with LCG-2_6_0 ? Is it necessary to have this globus rpm if one also has
the WP2 rpms ?
The reason why I'm asking is that the globus rls is not available for
IA64:
http://www.globus.org/toolkit/data/rls/rls_faq.html#64bitPlatforms
On the other hand we have a complete IA64 port of WP2.
Thanks for any comments,
Andreas
