Hi,
From the should-we-have-a-yaim-mailing-list department:
I understand we all need customization possibilities for the generic
scripts. For that purpose we already have that /opt/lcg/yaim/functions/local
directory which replaces the config_* scripts if local copy available aka
>if [ -f $FUNCTIONS_DIR/local/$SERVICE ]; then
> . $FUNCTIONS_DIR/local/$SERVICE
>[...]
This is however difficult to maintain. What should we do, when
LCG-2_4_0-easter-egg-edition-manbo-jambo-remix comes out?
Should we lcfg-like diff all the config_* scripts with our own
copies to apply the changes from the new version? Same problem with the
/opt/lcg/yaim/scripts/configure_* scripts.
I know this has been kind-of-discussed but I think we need a solution for
the future :o)
