You are correct that yaim as is won't cope with this.
Yaim makes a good go at setting up a torque that works but probably
very quickly you will want to deviate from the yaim provided config
anyway. So after the intial install I would correct your nodes table
and from then configrue a CE rather than a CE_torque

The info providers will collect the number of CPUs correctly and so
the info published onto the BDII will be correct.
