Dear All
The ODPM circulated a letter from the Department of Health to Local
Strategic Partnerships in April last year outlining plans to commission an
evaluation (including cost benefit analysis) of Health Impact Assessment at
Local Strategic Partnership level. The response was very encouraging.
The Department of Health has now commissioned York Health Economics
Consortium to carry out the research, and I am sending out the attached
letter to see if you, or any colleagues have planned to carry out an HIA
this year and if you would like to participate in the research. Five HIAs
will be selected covering a range of characteristics. There will also be a
comparator group.
Please could you reply to Jacqueline O'Reilly [log in to unmask] at YHEC if
you are interested
