Signature: making a mark of any sort by any means with the intention of
signature.
If someone wants your _name_ on a form, there will be a space for a name
or a stamp. Signature is not writing your name. Ask the Japanese.
We would be better off with a "chop" to stamp on official forms, whether
it went into a puddle of wax as it used to here, or just ink.

The govt was a little taken aback by that, they thought they might need
to make laws about electronic documents.
