Phormium - or if you not in a frost pocket, Cordyline - wide choice of colours,
tolerate dry conditions, and Phormium is frost-hardy on our terrace, on the
edge of Leeds.
Any half-way decent garden centre should have a choice; watch out for how big
it will get, some of them go up to 3metres, but there are lots of semi-dwarf
varieties that will stay at about 80cms.
