I think that you have experienced BIOS corruption, and need to clear/reset
the BIOS.
Go to Shuttle's site, navigate around a bit, and you will find the manual
for the motherboard.
This shows that Jumper 17 has the CLEAR CMOS function.
This should reset the BIOS and hopefully clear the problem

Subject: [GP-UK] Poorly PC query
I bought my pre-assembled Shuttle SFF barebones SN95G from ebay. It has an
FN95v2 motherboard, some sort of Athlon 64 (a 3000 maybe?) and has been
running nicely for a year. This week when I was using it routinely to play a
game it crashed unexpectedly and on rebooting i get the following error :-
-------------------------------
Award BootBlock BIOS v1.0
Copright (c) 200, Award Software , Inc
BIOS ROM Checksum error
Detecting floppy drive A media ...
Drive A error. System halt
--------------------------------
Ive tried resetting the CMOS by moving the jumper as per the mainboard
manual but no joy.
I didnt have an A drive on the machine, but i managed to rob one off another
PC and get a system disk to boot to a DOS prompt. Ran AwardFlash utility
with the .bin file that was on the Shuttle website for the correct
motherboard. However I get the message
Flash ROM is Write-Protected
Please make sure whether lockout jumpers is set to correct or not.
It's a jumperless mainboard so there no physical doofa to set the BIOS to
writeable.
I would like to get in to the CMOS settings but I never get as far as a POST
test (just the above error msg) despite holding del on boot up
I tried replacing the BIOS chip (thinking it would come with a new BIOS on
it) but when I switch on I just get black screen of nothing happening.
I'm stumped :-(
