I don't know about the rest of you, but our PCT seems to be sending almost
daily letters out regarding mechanisms for saving money. The latest is that
they want us to switch all of those patients with nice stable cholesterols
from Atorva to Simva in the last QOF quarter. Not suprisingly we have politely
told them no. Do they not think these things out?? I am totally against these
wholesale switches anyway. They look at cost savings, but do not take into
account the amount of time and money expended at the practice changing
patinets (and then often changing them back.)
