for a Consultant in it’s Technical Support team.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
A First or Second Class degree
At least 3 years in a software consultancy role, preferably with sales
support experience
Full driving licence required

CACI Limited specialises in software and consultancy services for
companies with a field based team (known as field force planning).
Proprietary GIS software is used to plan sales or service areas by
dividing the country into geographical areas of workload or market
potential. Once territories are established, journey plans are created
that define the most efficient order of calls to cover each territory. A
number of factors have to be taken into account in designing territories
including the location of clients and business prospects, a person’s home
location, and the drivetimes between these points.
Job Description
There are 12 people within this successful department, involved in Project
Delivery, Client Support & Installations, and Sales & Marketing functions.
After initial training on systems, the consultant will be involved in:
Project work
Client support
Software training
System building and installation
Sales support
The support team work with clients to implement new systems, provide
software training and support clients in their use of the software. The
majority of training takes place at the client site.
The successful candidate will experience face to face and telephone
contact with sales force managers and regional managers of large
companies. Candidates will need to be confident with clients, numerate,
computer literate, able to work in a small team, and be particular about
attention to detail.
The vacancy would particularly suit someone with a strong combination of
computational, geographical and GIS (e.g. InSite, Map Info, ArcView)
skills, and interests that they wish to use to effectively solve client
issues within a commercial environment. The successful candidate would
have an excellent opportunity to apply their degree-based skills and
business maturity to key business issues.
