Due to the growth of the company, we are now looking to expand the
technical team for our Radius Topology product and are looking for a Junior
Technical Consultant to help support our existing consultancy team in
generating revenues through our main partner channels.
Candidate Profile:
· Candidates are likely to be newly graduated from an MSc GIS or
similar or have gained the equivalent knowledge from work experience.
· A general working knowledge of Oracle databases and some experience
of PL/SQL are desirable.
· Some programming skills in one or more of JAVA, VB, C++ and a
general knowledge of spatial data would be desirable.
· Candidates will be required to have a good customer-facing attitude.
· Candidates should be able to show a general level of knowledge of
the GIS and Mapping industry.
· Experience of using GIS applications (eg. Intergraph, MapInfo)
would be very beneficial, although training will be given.
· Experience of working in close co-operation with fellow team
members is desirable.

Based in our offices in Cambridge the role will be varied and interesting
with potential opportunities for foreign travel. The successful applicant
will need to adopt a flexible approach to the day to day technical support
of the Pre-Sales effort of Laser-Scan's solutions, being able to react
positively to new objectives as they arise. The general focus will be to
shadow and support the technical sales team in helping them to close
existing channel business and in pursuing and supporting new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
· To be a dedicated technical backup resource for the sales team.
· Assisting in the creation of data workflows using our product and
third party applications to support presentations and tender proposals for
potential customers.
· Performing software installations at customer sites.
· Providing standard training courses to new customers.
· Giving demonstrations at trade shows and other events.
· Assisting with data engineering projects.
· Providing telephone / email support for potential customers
evaluating our products.
· Working with partners directly where appropriate to support them in
identified opportunities.
