The UNEP World Conservation Monitoring Centre has an international
reputation for providing information for policy and action to conserve
the living world. The Centre works with collaborators throughout the
world to identify opportunities for their planning and decision-making
processes.
A new project has been set up to focus on land-use modelling and
scenario development relating to MesoAmerican water catchments and
water-borne links to coastal ecosystems.
· Essential requirements are that candidates should hold a first
degree in geography, environmental science, ecology or similar, with a
higher degree in spatial planning, tropical agriculture, soil science
or
similar with at least five-years' relevant experience.
· It is absolutely essential that you have fluency in both English
and Spanish languages.
· You should also have experience of land-use modelling/scenario
development and project management/project development.
· Ideally you will have had field experience in Meso/Latin
America, be able to fund-raise from a variety of donors and have the
ability to facilitate workshops.
