1. Le Grand Robert Electronique version 2
Some people-as I was- may have already been alerted to this product by the message posted on the francofil list yesterday by CPEDERF reproduced below.
I can confirm that version 2 is the e-version of the *3rd* edition of the Grand Robert published in 2001 and is apparently on sale from May 2005. The website (www.lerobert.com) appears to advertise it as a CD-ROM only, price given is I think for single use only and meant for individuals not institutions (launch price until 15/10/05 is 250 EUR, then 300 EUR). The product is also available as a networked CD-ROM ("version reseau") price on application, but I suspect is not yet available online, but don't know for certain.

An interview with Laurent Catach, Directeur des Editions multimedias Dictionnaires Le Robert found via google.fr search:
possibly suggests that they are currently offering networked CD-ROM to libraries but recognise that libraries are now asking for web products.

BL policy is to prefer online, but if an important item is only available as a networkable CD-ROM we would acquire it- provided we can get it to work. So I will shortly be making enquiries on behalf of the BL.
If anyone on the list has further information please do share it with us as this product may well be of interest to other libraries in the UK.

This is the cumulative e-version of this standard international bibliography

As I recall we at the BL tried the demo CD-ROM some years ago but couldn't get it to work.

Here is the info. on the Droz website (www.droz.org).
