Hi All,
I would like to point out a problem with the running of FSL on later Linux
kernels, specifically Gentoo 2.6.11. I have found that the versions of head
and tail included in this distribution have deprecated the "-1" option in
favor of "-n 1". The option still works, but generates a "deprecated"
message and, presumably, returns a non-zero exit code. This causes a
variety of fsl programs to assume that the system call failed and thus stop
processing. I fixed this by manually editing each of the affected scripts
to change occurrences of "head -1" and "tail -1" to "head -n 1" and "tail -n
1", respectively. Those containing "head" are:
in $FSLDIR/bin/: avwval, eqn2gif, extracttxt, fslpres
Those containing "tail" are:
in $FSLDIR/bin/: fslpres, siena
in $FSLDIR/tcl/: fsl_exec.tcl
FYI,
Chuck
