I am trying to use FDT to generate probability tracks origninating from
corpuscallosum (cc) and reaching the temporal regions. I have mailnly two
ROIs, one is the posterior region of cc (half the cc from the posterior
end) and the other is the temporal region encaptulating the taptum. (I
have more than one temporal region drawn at different y location in the
coronal slice). When I do the connectivity based seed classification
option with the half-cc as seed region and the temporal regions as targets
I get a region in the cc (which is in agreement with literature) that
connects strongly to the temporal ROIs choosen.
However, inorder to see how these regions are connected through the
whitematter fibres, I tried probtrack with 'two masks symmetric' option
with region1 as half-cc and region2 as the temporal region. when I do this
I get nothing, indicating that there is no fibre originating from the
halfcc that goes through the temporal ROIs considered ?. This contradicts
the findings obtained using 'connectivity based seed classifications'.
I hope you understand the analysis performed and I need some insight into
understanding the results.
Any help would be greatky appreciated.
