Hi,
We are planning to run a diffusion imaging study with the aim of defining
white matter tracts between two pre-defined cortical areas in the frontal
lobes. This will require seeding from one cortical area, with the hope of
finding direct transverse tracts connecting to another pre-defined cortical
area. We have been advised that this is difficult to achieve, and requires
that more than one tensor direction can be computed from the diffusion
data. Preliminary analysis suggests that when we seed from either of our
predefined cortical areas we can observe very nice tracts in the cortico-
spinal plane, but are finding no evidence of transverse tracts from either
area (which we believe do excist). Are transverse grey matter to grey
matter tracts something that can be achieved using your FSL DTI toolbox?
Thank you,
Elaine
