Please find attached a job advertisement for a researcher with ICAR's focUS
project.
The researcher will be required to work on a part time basis (2.5 days per
week) by ICAR. S/he will join the team working on ICAR’s exciting new
project – focUS-connecting futures.
focUS is a video project for young people in Coventry and Peterborough. It
asks them to think about themselves and the community they live in and to
make short films to express this. The young people who take part in the
project will include members of the host communities of both cities as well
as refugees and asylum seekers. One of the aims of the project is to find
out how young people who may be different from each other can learn to
understand each other better. It will be the role of the research assistant
to record this learning so that we can make it widely available.
The work is taking place in London, Coventry and Peterborough in partnership
with two youth arts and media organisations. The postholder will work alongside
the video project workers to record, analyse, and write up the learning of
the project – for dissemination in the form of a web based toolkit.
Please follow the instructions on the advert for applying or obtaining more
information, and please pass this advert onto anyone you think would be
interested in the post.
