Dear all,
I am doing research on the drafting of the 1951 Convention Relating to the
Status of Refugees. The question is if the treaty was drafted out of
humanitarian considerations or if political and ideological reasons were
more important. In short, I want to see what was actually discussed and
what the considerations were of the people involved and the states they
represented in the meetings.
It is a topic that has not received very much attention in The Netherlands.
Sources and literature available in The Netherlands are therefore limited.
I was wondering if anyone could provide me with suggestions or advice on
the matter. Are there other places I can search for information and be more
successful? I sincerely hope that anyone will be able to advise me on that.
Best regards,
Heleen Bouscher
